GHMC contractor blocks road
As part of the ongoing Bonalu festival, new roads are being laid in the city. Apart from this, new flooring is being done at one of the temples at Ramsinghpura near the BK Bhavan in Karwan and another at Khairatabad.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Sunday, a local resident Satbeer said, "The GHMC contractor has blocked the road by laying cement blocks, whereas earlier it was a flat road. Due to the cement blocks, the people of Ramsinghpura cannot use the road, and vehicles cannot pass through like in the past."
Furthermore, he said, "Nearly 500 houses of Ramsinghpura area have been affected due to this roadblock. The road was earlier used to reach Guddimalkapur and Mehdipatnam, but as it has been closed, people are forced to take a longer detour. The resident also tried to contact the contractor but he didn't respond."
The residents have tried all possible ways to bring the matter to notice of the higher officials concerned, but all their efforts were in vain. The irate residents urge the GHMC to remove the cement blocks and make the road flat like it was earlier.
