GHMC staff bemoan lack of civic sense
Although the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is striving hard to make city neat and clean, garbage heaps are ubiquitous on and along roads in Yousufguda.
Yousufguda: Although the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is striving hard to make city neat and clean, garbage heaps are ubiquitous on and along roads in Yousufguda. On one side GHMC staff is making efforts to turn city clean and green, and, on the other hand, citizens throwing waste on roads without any hesitation.
A change for better seems remote unless citizens realise their grave mistake of casting away their waste everywhere, not dumping them at designated points. "We are being paid to clean up the city.
We try our best to make city neat and clean, but we are helpless if citizens choose to throw garbage on road sides. It takes just a 5-minute walk to reach any GHMC bin in any area. People can throw waste in those bins, yet they don't even try using such bins" bemoaned GHMC sweepers working in an area.
