Hyderabad: As a mark of respect, a participant of Guinness World Records (GWR) event called on his mentors at the college in which he studied. Parmesh Kumar called on Dr K V Ramana Murthy, principal of the Vijayanagar College of Commerce, here on Monday.

Parmesh Kumar, an advocate, along with his wife Usha and his 8-year old daughter Nandita Singh and other 18 members from 4 different states (AP, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Delhi NCR), participated in a Guinness World Record event, the 'Most UNESCO-World Heritage Site visits in 12 hours.'

"I am pleased to inform that we have successfully completed the challenge by visiting 7 UNESCO world heritage sites in and across 3 states (UP, Rajasthan and Delhi) in 11 hours, 33 minutes and 18 seconds, thus, creating a new record for which we have been awarded with a Guinness Record Certificate and a gold medal," he said.

An alumnus of Vijayanagar College of Commerce located in Vijaynagar Colony at Masab Tank, he met the staff, management and principal of the college, who congratulated him for being recognized by the Guinness World Record.
