Hyderabad: Heavy rains occurred at isolated places in Ranga Reddy during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday. Rains also occurred at a few places in Sangareddy, Vikarabad and Medak districts in Telangana.

The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) were: Maheswaram (Ranga Reddy) 7, Jogipet (dist Sangareddy), Golkonda (Hyderabad), Kodangal (Vikarabad), Vikarabad, Papannapet (Medak) 3 cm each.

The Met department bulletin said on Tuesday that 2 cm rain each occurred in Tekmal (Medak) 2, Kohir (Sangareddy), Yacharam (RR), Dubbak (Siddipet), Peddemul (Vikarabad), Doultabad (Siddipet), Ibrahimpatnam (RR), Chevella (RR), Tandur (Vikarabad), Kowdipalle (Medak).

There was 1 cm rain each in Hayathnagar, Kondurg, Manchal, Alladurg,Hathanoora, Medchal, Tupran, Medak, Munipalli, Naykal, Mirdoddi, Nawabpet, Nanganur, Raikode, Rajendranagar, Doma, Kondapur, Sadasivpet.

According to the forecast, light to moderate rains or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana from June 5 to 8. No large change during the period June 9-11 is the weather outlook.

The bulletin warned of thunderstorms with gusty winds ranging from 30-40 kmph and lightning very likely to occur on June 5 at isolated places across the State. It said heat-wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated pockets in 17 districts on the same day as also from June 6 to 8. Public are advised not to expose directly to sunlight and take necessary precautions due to heat-wave.
