Ghansi Bazaar: The volunteers of an NGO, Hindu Utsav Samithi, have distributed home-made free buttermilk to the commuters and passersby for the straight fourth year to help quench thirst of people during the hot summer at High Court Road in the Old City.

According to the organisers, whose "goal is to help humanity," this is the fourth year of the buttermilk distribution (every Sunday) during summer between 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm.

"Every week some 8,000 to 9,000 glasses of buttermilk are distributed. Nearly 44 weeks are completed and the number of glasses reached to 3, 75,000. About 30 volunteers are engaged in the cause," said Kiran Payal, a volunteer.
