HMWSSB seizes 8 water motors

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) seized eight water pumping motors from different parts of the city. Residents usually fix the motors so that they could extract more water from pipelines as they facilitate high pressure.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) seized eight water pumping motors from different parts of the city. Residents usually fix the motors so that they could extract more water from pipelines as they facilitate high pressure.
HMWSSB has warned that criminal cases would be registered if illegal connections are taken and a fine of Rs 10,000 would be imposed. The Water Board has started a crackdown on illegal connections in the past week. The board has also plans to rope in home guards from the police department to unearth illegal connections.
