Hyderabad: Man murders wife with iron rod

Hyderabad: A woman was allegedly murdered with an iron rod by her husband at Langar Houz on Friday.
According to police, victim Kareema Begum (32), a private school teacher married Mohd Yousuf seven years ago. The couple often had arguments over trivial issues. They were blessed with three children. Police said after one such argument, Kareema left the house to work and Yousuf followed her with an iron rod and attacked her on her head.
The Langer Houz police on getting information from the control room reached the spot and shifted the woman to the hospital when doctors declared her dead.
Since last year, the couple was staying separately, and Kareema was living at her parents' house. While Kareema was going to school for, Yousuf came with an iron rod and hit on her head. She fell unconsciously and bleeded profusely, said K Srinivas, SHO Langer Houz.
The police took Yousuf into custody. A case is booked under Section 302 of IPC and investigation is on.
