The 48 Metro Rail stations in the state capital may be packed to capacity, as private establishments, besides government organisations, have not declared any holiday on Friday.

With the likelihood of RTC services being severely disrupted, the public may look to Metro for commuting to their destinations, as cabbies and autos have already announced participation in the bandh.

However, Hyderabad Metro Rail as of Friday had no plans to raise the number of services. It would assess the situation on the ground on Saturday, and take a decision accordingly, said its spokesperson Krishnanadh. Around 3.5 Lakh commuters use Metro Rail every day.
