MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri acts on pleas, fixes sewage spill
Following the complaints from residents, Yakutpura MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri came forward to resolve the issue regarding the sanitation works, sewerage overflow and other civic issues in the constituency on Monday.
Santosh Nagar: Following the complaints from residents, Yakutpura MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri came forward to resolve the issue regarding the sanitation works, sewerage overflow and other civic issues in the constituency on Monday.
Pasha Quadri undertook inspection in areas, including Santosh Nagar, Nasheman Nagar and Talabkatta after the residents complained over the sanitation and drainage overflow in the area. For the last 5 days, the residents of Kalander Nagar in Santosh Nagar division have been complaining over the sewage overflow to the officials, but the issue has been neglected. Later, Pasha Quadri visited the spot and tried to resolve the issue.
The residents gave many complaints regarding the issue to the officials, but in vain. "Due to drain water and waste coming from a manhole the whole road got damaged. Many complaints were lodged to the local corporator and GHMC officials, but the issue is neglected. Later, the complaints were forwarded to the area MLA. He inspected the area and solved the issue," said Mohammed Mujeeb, a resident.
Syed Azeem said that due to no regular sanitation works in the area, the whole road was filled with garbage. The GHMC vehicle did not change the garbage box for days, he said. Later, Pasha Quadri also inspected the pending desilting works of nala in Talabkatta.
