Hyderabad: The GHMC Standing Committee has adopted a resolution the utilisation of the National Academy of Construction's (NAC) project division for undertaking inspection by third parties of structural designs of multi-storeyed buildings under construction in the twin cities.

The meeting, chaired by Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and attended by Commissioner M Dana Kishore, following the criticism of members on the slow pace of the 'nala' expansion works, resolved to make monthly payments, thus paving the way for their expeditious completion.

By another resolution, the Standing Committee directed the GHMC Entomology wing to create public awareness drive in the twin cities on the need for taking up precautionary measures against mosquito menace which rises during the monsoon season.

The meeting resolved to strengthen the 134 modern gyms set up by GHMC by involving local corporators and people's representatives in their management, which has not been found to be effective.
