NGO conducts mass marriages
A total of 9 marriages were solemnised simultaneously as part of welfare activities of NGO in Hassan Nagar at Sivarampally on Sunday.
Rajendranagar: A total of 9 marriages were solemnised simultaneously as part of welfare activities of NGO in Hassan Nagar at Sivarampally on Sunday.
Conducted under the aegis of Minority Welfare Society (Mahmood Nagar & Hassan Nagar), these marriages were held at Noorani Masjid in the locality. Qazi, Hafez Mirza Khudratullah Baig performed the marriages of these couples.
Speaking to media persons, society president Sheikh Haroon Rasheed said that they had been organising this kind of social activity since 2010 and a number of marriages including the Sunday's mass marriage were able to unite 88 couples through generous contributions from donors.
Vice president, Mohammed Pasha, former Councilor, Md Sarwar, Muqtar Ahmed, Rafeeq ullah Buqari (ex-imam of mosque), Toufeeq ullah Buqari (Imam of Masjid), president Masjid committee, Md Yousuf and others were present.
