NGO holds book donation drive
The ‘With You’ organisation drew its curtains on the second book donation drive held in Hyderabad on Sunday. The organisation started the book donation drive in February last year, and till now, it received around 1,200 books from the donors to donate.

The donated books notebooks, stationery items etc., will be sorted and distributed from June 2nd week, once the school reopens. Speaking to the media here, Venkat Phanindra, president of 'With You,' an NGO says, "We started the program in February, 2018, and the response we received was overwhelming. For the selection of schools, we have a research team that visits schools directly and assess the conditions in those schools and will finalize the list of schools.
The deplorable conditions in the schools really shocked us, as students didn't have basic stationary items. That's when we decide to work for those schools and provide books and stationery to them. Last year, we have collected around 425 books, which are donated in a school in south Hyderabad. This year the response is much better so far we have collected 1,200 books for the coming academic year."
This year's book donation drive is classified into three phases. Starting off, they organised a book donation drive with the help of their student chapter in March 2019 in the Mathrusri Engineering College, Saidabad, MVSR Engineering College in Ranga Reddy district and Venkateshwara College of Pharmacy in Madhapur.
Currently, from the first week of June, they are focusing on getting donations from their close associates, colleagues, neighbors and relatives by organizing a book truck which will be traveling as per the route map and will collect the books from locals of that particular area.
The collected books will be distributed in three finalized school which are Vijaya Bharathi Primary School at Yousufguda, Government Secondary school, Moosarambagh, and Annadha Vidhyarthi Gruha School, LB Nagar.
