Open plot turns into dump yard
A plot in Road No 13 at AP Textbook Colony has turned into a dump yard. “The owner of the plot stays in another locality, taking advantage people throw garbage there,” said Ram, a local.

"The area is covered with dead plants apart from other waste. Recently, the dry plants caught fire suddenly due to the extreme heat. It was with great difficulty that the fire was extinguished", says Fareeda, a local, while speaking to The Hans India here on Friday.
The smell is not a big problem but the garbage has resulted in turning a place into a breeding ground for insects and mosquitoes. "There are so many cockroaches and lizards that enter the houses because of the ill-maintenance of the plot," she adds.
During the monsoon and winter season the situation worsens and there is a swarm of mosquitoes in the surrounding areas. The GHMC workers do not take any action to clean the area.
