People apprised of how to prevent mosquito breeding
GHMC conducted awareness programme on mosquitoes prevention in various schools in 139 and 140 divisions of Malkajgiri on Monday.
Malkajgiri: GHMC conducted awareness programme on mosquitoes prevention in various schools in 139 and 140 divisions of Malkajgiri on Monday. Malkajgiri circle GHMC deputy commissioner Venugopal and assistant entomology officer Anil Kumar participated in the awareness programme at various schools.
Speaking there, deputy commissioner advised students to take necessary measures to keep their premises clean and ensure that there is no water stagnation to prevent mosquitoes.
GHMC officials explained various measures to be taken to control mosquitoes such as closing water tanks with covers or caps, closing windows during nights, and created awareness on conditions that favour breeding and spread of mosquitoes.
Students were told to remove empty drums, tyres and empty coconut shells in which water gets stagnated to prevent breeding of mosquitoes. GHMC officials, 140 division entomology in-charge Satish Yadav, locals and students participated in the awareness programme.
