Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University observes No Tobacco Day
The College of Agriculture at Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) observed ‘World No Tobacco Day’ at its campus at Rajendranagar on Friday.
Rajendranagar: The College of Agriculture at Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) observed 'World No Tobacco Day' at its campus at Rajendranagar on Friday.
The associate dean of the college, Dr Seema, has chaired the meeting organised in the college auditorium. Members of board of management committee of PJTSAU Dr Manohara Rao, Dr Uma Devi attended as the guest of honour.
They advised the students not to get addicted to tobacco products and not to spoil their health. Several speakers spoke about the ill-effects of consuming tobacco products and its disadvantages.
On this occasion, a painting competition was also organised for the students and prizes were also presented. NSS (National Service Scheme) officers, doctors of the University Health Centre and other faculty members and students participated on the occasion.
