Protests staged over scrapping Article 370
CPI(ML) New Democracy president has Govardhan condemned the cancellation of Article 370 by the central government and termed it as attack on foundations of democracy and constitution.
Baghlingampally: CPI(ML) New Democracy president has Govardhan condemned the cancellation of Article 370 by the central government and termed it as attack on foundations of democracy and constitution.
He was participating in the protest staged by the party members at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Monday. The protestors wore black masks and raised slogans against union government and demanded the withdrawal of the decision which was taken without consulting people of the state. They also demanded withdrawal of armed forces deployed in Kashmir and condemned government for creating tense atmosphere in state.
The protestors argued with police but left the venue of protest later. Among those who participated in the protest include New Democracy leaders Sadineni Venkateshwar Rao, Sandhya, Aruna, Parushuram and others.
