Yash C, owner of Venkateshwara Kirana and General stores, said, "I think the GHMC workers themselves have forgotten about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of making the city clean. Every day, we find these GHMC workers coming to the area, but not cleaning up the garbage that is thrown on the sides of the road.
These workers collect the garbage and leave it on the side of the roads." V Sudha, a 29-year-old resident, said, "We have been asking the GHMC workers to remove the garbage, but the only thing that they say is that a GHMC van will be coming to collect the garbage, but the garbage is never removed. They just collect the garbage and leave it there as it is. The GHMC workers also come and ask for some money promising that they would clean it, but they never did."
