Teachers Day fete held at Andhra Vidyalaya
The Teachers Day was celebrated on a grand note at Andhra Vidyalaya High School here on Thursday to mark the birth anniversary of former President Sarvepally Radhakrishnan. As part of celebrations, students played the role of teachers and took classes.

Speaking at a programme organised on the occasion, headmaster Challa Srinivas Reddy urged students to emulate Sarvepally Radhakrishnan, a teacher who worked with dedication and discipline and became the Second President of India. He urged the students to take the great person as an inspiration and strive for development of the nation.
Later, a former student of the school of 1989 batch Dr Yamini presented the cash prizes along with mementos and certificates of appreciation to the students who topped 2018-19 tenth class exams.
Among those who were present on the occasion were teachers P Hema, B Manjula, S Prameela, P Uma Devi, S Sunitha, B Jyothi, R Kavitha, G Prabhakar and M Sunitha, students and parents.
