New Delhi: Union minister of state for civil aviation, Hardeep Singh Puri, here on Wednesday said that the administrative approval and expenditure sanction of Rs 611.80 crore was accorded on June 17, 2020 for building a new terminal, Air Traffic Controller (ATC) tower, etc., at Vijayawada airport with projected date of completion in March, 2023.
He was replying to a question of YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy, on the status of the airport works. The minister said that an expenditure of Rs 11.33 crore had already been incurred on the works related to construction of new integrated terminal building, apron, link taxiway and associated works at Vijayawada Airport.
