Plant saplings to protect environment: Collector Gopi

Karimnagar: District Collector Dr. B Gopi asked the youth to work for green Telangana by planting saplings for environment protection.

Under the aegis of the Telangana Yuvajana Samithi, he released a poster to sensitise people to plant saplings - save the environment here on Tuesday. On the occasion, the Collector said that it is the responsibility of youth, voluntary and women’s groups to get used to social service. People should be sensitised in the remote villages of the district and spread awareness about planting of trees.

Telangana Yuvajana Samithi president and recipient of the State Uttam Yuvajana Award, Sattineni Srinivas said that youth voluntary women’s associations in the district will take the responsibility of preserving the saplings planted in Haritha Haram for a greener Telangana. Telangana Yuvajana Samithi secretary Penti Naveen, Vannaram Sarpanch Poladi Kavita Vamsidhar Rao, Dyavanapalli Swapna Rao, Potuganti Tirumala, Lingampally Venkat, Anil and many members of youth, voluntary and women’s associations participated.
