Woman attempts suicide as her friend forces her into prostitution in Tamil Nadu
In a freak incident, a woman has attempted suicide as her friend whom she met through TikTok forced her to do prostitution.
Viluppuram: In a freak incident, a woman has attempted suicide as her friend whom she met through TikTok forced her to do prostitution. This incident has happened in the Viluppuram district of Tamil Nadu.
Going into details, Manoharan and his wife Kadalkanni (39) resides at Sathyamangalam village near Senji. The couple has three children. After the death of her husband, she stays at the parent's house, along with her children.
Recently, Kadalkanni approached Sathyamangalam women's police station and lodged a complaint, where she states that Sumathi, Latha, and Kavita whom she met through TikTok and become close friends.
In this context, they forced her to do prostitution, demanded Rs 2 lakh and threatened to kidnap and murder her if she fails to arrange the said amount.
As the police didn't take action on her complaint, and in return, threatenings have increased from the accused over becoming upset about the situation, she hanged herself on Sunday night. The family members noticed her and immediately rushed to the local government hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
