Kagaznagar (Adilabad): As many as 180 sheep have died as they have fallen into a stream at the borders of Andavilli village in Kagaznagar mandal here on Tuesday night. The sheep owners of Rechini village of Tandur mandal along with the sheep had been travelling by foot to the 'Bhiranna Jatara' that was being held on Thursday at Kaniki village of Kodela mandal. On Wednesday evening, due to heavy winds, about 180 sheep got panicked and fell into the stream. Some sheep were rescued by the owners. Police and animal husbandry officials have inspected the spot. The police, revenue officials and other officials have identified that the dead sheep belonged to Tirupati, Veraiah, Srinu, Rajanna, Shankari, Rajaiah and Bhiramma. Ex MLA Koneru Konappa, Ex MLA Rajyalakshmi and other leaders visited the spot and spoke to the victims.
