The noble gesture of the family members of a deceased person has brought light into the life of a visually impaired man. Disclosing this to newsmen here on Tuesday, Dr G Samaram, executive director of Swetcha Gora Eye Bank, said Chennupati Koteswara Rao of Penamaluru died on Sunday.

The noble gesture of the family members of a deceased person has brought light into the life of a visually impaired man. Disclosing this to newsmen here on Tuesday, Dr G Samaram, executive director of Swetcha Gora Eye Bank, said Chennupati Koteswara Rao of Penamaluru died on Sunday.

His family members donated the eyes of Rao to the eye bank. Ophthalmologist MN Raju successfully grafted the corneas to Nayani Srinivas of Narasimhagudem village in Khammam district, giving him eyesight. Lauding the noble gesture of Rao’s family members, Dr Samaram appealed to people to pledge their eyes to light up the lives of visually impaired.
