Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Dr Murali Krishna said that they would organise three plays every day during the three days. This year the competitions would be conducted at the Siddhartha Auditorium at Mogalrajapuram, he added. He said on the first day on July 29, they would organise ‘Telukuttina Dongalu’, ‘Davat’ and ‘Vetakandi baboy Vetakandi’, followed by ‘Povoy Anukoni Athidhi’,
‘Attharintiki Daredi’ and ‘Sandade Sandadi’ on the second day. The third day would have ‘Premaku Velayera’, ‘Am aha Kam Kaha’ and a number of comedy skits and music concerts.
Sumadhura president Samanthapudi Narasaraju said that this year, they would be presenting the prestigious ‘Jandhyala Award’ to comedian and villain, Jayaprakash Reddy.
He said that the competition is being conducted every year to promote stage arts, particularly comedy playlets for the past 20 years. He thanked the artists and philanthropists who have been supporting them to conduct the events every year. Sumadhura advisor Dr M C Das were also present.
