Vignan to confer doctorates on Medasani Mohan, Jayaprada
Vice-chancellor of Vignan University Dr C Thangaraj, announced that fourth Convocation of the university would be held on October 15, here on Thursday.
Vice-chancellor of Vignan University Dr C Thangaraj, announced that fourth Convocation of the university would be held on October 15, here on Thursday. Dr Shaida Mohammad Abdali, Ambasssador, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to India, New Delhi, would be the Chief Guest. Prof. B Ramamoorthy , the rector mentioned that three eminent personalities viz Prof. Fouad Bennis, Director for International Relations, Ecole Centrale de Nantes, France, Pancha sahasra Avadhani, Dr Medasani Mohan and cine actress, politician and social worker Jayaprada would be conferred with Honorary Doctorates (Honoris Causa ) during the occasion.
Dr MS Raghunathan, Registar, informed that 1279 students would be receiving their degrees in this occasion. Prof PMV Rao, Dean Evaluation informed that 19 meritorious students, would be receiving Gold Medals and the Best Outgoing student of the University would be awarded the ‘Chairman’s Gold Medal’ during the convocation. Dr Lavu Rataiah, Chairman, Vignan Group, Lavu Srikrishnadevarayalu, Vice chairman Vignan Group, Pro Rammorty naidu Chancellor Vignan university will honor the chief guest and other guests of honor during the occasion.
