The ‘Helping Hands’, a voluntary service initiative by the students of Chirala Engineering College offered help to a poor family to recover from the blow of a bad time.

Shajuddin is physically disabled but works in a mosque to help the family. Recently he was involved in an accident and was injured very badly. On knowing his and his family’s situation, the Electronics and Communications Engineering students of Chirala Engineering College came forward to offer monetary help and collected donations.

On Wednesday, the college joint secretary Tella Ashok Kumar, Helping Hands coordinator Yarlagadda Tiru Sameer and HOD of ECE N Suresh Babu handed over cheque for Rs 20000 and other help to Shajuddin.

The college principal Syed Kamaluddin said that the management will try to provide lively hood to Shajuddin in the Chirala Group of institutions while Suresh Babu said that it is a great feeling to involve in stabilising the life of a poor family.
