National boxer Wajahath Ali wins gold
Krishna district Boxers clinched medals in Inter-district Youth Men and Women’s Boxing Championship, which concluded at Visakhapatnam. Krishna district boxers won one gold medal and four bronze medals in the tournament.

According Krishna District Armature Boxing Association (KDABA) secretary U V Raghavulu the winners exhibited all round talent in first state level championship. He further said that National boxing player and city boxer Md Wajahath Ali won gold medal in 75 kg category.
While T Sairam Reddy won bronze medal in 64kg category, Shaik Noor won the bronze medal in 60 kg, B Sai Sanketh won bronze in 91 kg category and G Srinivasa Rao won the bronze medal in 60 kg category.
In this connection Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Officer on Special Duty (OSD) P Rama Krishna, District Sports Development Officer (DSDO) Md Sirajuddhin, Boxing association chairman Karnati Rammohana Rao, vice-president D Appla Raju and others congratulated the medal winners.
