Royal Enfield managed to sell 1,70,292 units between November 2016 to January 2017 as compared to the 1,18,489 units that were sold by TVS. The fall in the sales number might be because of demonetisation, as TVS are a major brand in the commuter segment and Royal Enfield does not offer any such bike. The Apache maker has seen a major drop in sales since November 2016 but that hasn’t been the case with Royal Enfield.

Royal Enfield fetched 55,843 units, 56,316 units and 58,133 units for the months of November, December and January respectively. In the same period, TVS managed to sell 45,359 units, 37,136 units and 35,994 units for the month of November, December and January respectively. The Bullet maker still trails the top three manufacturers by a big margin. The top three automakers are Hero MotoCorp, Honda 2-Wheelers and Bajaj Auto.
