Vijayawada players win Silver medal in nationals
Two Vijayawada badminton players won a silver medal in the team championship in Guwahati, Assam recently. According to N Arjuna Rao, Chief Staff and Welfare Inspector (Sports), two badminton players B Kiran Kumar and T Dinesh working as Traveling Ticket Inspectors in Vijayawada Railway station have represented SCR Badminton team and participated in the All India Railway Badminton championship held
Two Vijayawada badminton players won a silver medal in the team championship in Guwahati, Assam recently. According to N Arjuna Rao, Chief Staff and Welfare Inspector (Sports), two badminton players B Kiran Kumar and T Dinesh working as Traveling Ticket Inspectors in Vijayawada Railway station have represented SCR Badminton team and participated in the All India Railway Badminton championship held at Guwhathi and the team secured a silver medal in the team championship losing to Northern Railway, New Delhi, in the finals.
He said that both players were selected for Indian Railway Badminton team to participate in the senior Nationals. K Venu Gopala Rao, addl divisional Railway manager congratulated the two players on Wednesday. Shifali, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager also congratulated the two players.
