Rajamahendravaram: Poitti Sriramulu Telugu University vice-chancellor, Prof SV Satyanarayana has said everyone should emulate the great philosopher Swami Vivekananda, named “the torchbearer of the country.”
“The nation cannot forget his services rendered to society,” he said.Participating in the birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Vivekananda in the university, he said Vivekananda spread the greatness of the country across the world with his speeches.
“He travelled all over the world with an aim to bring the glory of the country into limelight. He advised the students and research scholars to work with commitment and dedication to achieve their goal. There is no alternative except education to elevate oneself,” he said.
Later, the VC was honoured with Swami Vivekananda Life Achievement Puraskar under the aegis of Potti Sriramulu Telugu University and Philanthropic Society.
