Vijayawada: The Vijayawada Music Academy in association with the Department of Language and Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh, organised Pancharatna Keerthana brundaganam at Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College here on Sunday morning.

Well known musicians KS Govindarajan, Popuri Gowrinath, Vishnubhotla Sisters, Pantulu Rama, Srinivasa Murthy, N Ch Buchayacharyulu, Ganduri Sreenivasa Murthy, Pratha Krishna Murthy, Yegnesh, BVS Prasad, K Sadguru Charan, M Vijaya Kumar, Surabhi A Phani Bhushan, Kundurthi Aravind, Parupalli Balasubrahmanyam and others paid tributes to Saint Thyagaraja Swamy with vocal and instruments like mridangam, veena, violin and flute.

The artistes rendered Thyagaraja keerthanas ‘Jagadanandkaraka’ in Nata ragam, ‘Dudukugala’ in Gowla ragam, ‘Sadhinchene oo Manasa’ in Arabhi ragam, ‘Kanakana ruchira’ in Varali ragam and ‘Endaro Mahanubhavulu’ in Sree ragam.Dr Vedantam Rajagopala Chakravarthi, Dr GVNRSSS Vara Prasad, Koganti Satyanarayana and T Ramesh were present along with hundreds of devotees to witness this colorful event.

Vocal concerts of Visakhapatnam artistes Dr Dwaram VKG Thyagaraju, Sarada Subrahmanyam, Prata Krishnamurthy enthralled audience. Hyderabad vocalist NC Koushik rendered the Thyagaraja Swamy keerthanas after the Pancharatna Sankeerthana ganam. M Satyanarayana Sarma, Chaganti Ramya Kiranmayi, N Ch Buchayacharyulu rendered violin support and M Suryaprasadarao, Parupalli Balasubrahmanyam, K Yogesh supported with mridangam.
