Vijayawada: All India Students Federation (AISF) leaders staged a dharna here on Thursday, demanding that the government release pending scholarship amount.
The AISF state general secretary, B Ranganna and others wanted the state government to immediately release the pending scholarships and fee reimbursement of SC, ST and BC students studying at various institutions all over the state. In a innovative way, the AISF members sported flowers in ears and begged at Lenin Centre here.
He said that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was spending crores of rupees for his tours abroad and events like Pushkaralu. But when it comes to budget for students, he neglecting students welfare, he alleged. AISF leaders and others participated in the protest.
