District Collector Kartikeya Mishra ordered the officials to take immediate measures to pay the tax and cess dues of different government departments which were identified by the Vigilance and Enforcement department.The Collector reviewed dues to the government at the court hall in the Collectorate on Wednesday evening.
Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishra ordered the officials to take immediate measures to pay the tax and cess dues of different government departments which were identified by the Vigilance and Enforcement department.The Collector reviewed dues to the government at the court hall in the Collectorate on Wednesday evening.
Speaking on the occasion, Mishra suggested the officials that they should pay the cess dues without any delay to the government.
He informed that 24 government departments have the dues in the district. The cess dues from the Panchayats like land tax, land conversion tax, layouts, taxes from the affiliated colleges of JNTU, taxes from the municipalities and from the labour department should be immediately paid.He asked the municipalities to pay the Rs 20 crore dues to the district library organisation.
The Collector instructed the officials to collect Rs 14 crore dues from the affiliated colleges of the JNTU. Speaking on this occasion, Vigilance and Enforcement SP Gangadhara Rao told that their department had identified Rs 502 crore dues for the past 15 years and Rs 8 crore dues from different departments in the district.
Housing PD Veereswara Prasad, District Library Organisation Secretary Venkateswara Rao, Corporation Commissioner Siva Parvathi and RDOs participated in the meeting.
