jaganHyderabad: Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Vijaysai Reddy, the main accused in the Jagan disproportionate assets case, on Saturday received a setback when the CBI Special Court rejected their plea for a directive asking the CBI to follow the Supreme Court ruling in the case. The court declined to entertain the appeal of Vijaysai Reddy to consider the chargesheet in the Dalmia Cements case as the last one. The applications of Jagan and Vijaysai Reddy said the chargesheet filed by the CBI on April 8 was only regarding the alleged investments made by Dalmia Cements, Eeswar Cements and Raghuram Cements, but pertaining to any other issue. Jagan had pleaded for joint trial by clubbing all the chargesheets. The court which had reserved orders on April 24 pronounced them on Saturday, dismissing the memos of both the MP and his auditor Vijaysai Reddy, who wanted postponement of framing of charges in the case till the completion of the investigation and that the court treat the fifth chargesheet filed on April 8 as the final one. Jagan had opposed separate trial of the chargesheets filed by the CBI.
