First phase of Aruna's bus yatra concludes

Mahbubnagar: The Bus Yatra, launched by Minister D K Aruna on April 14 at Shadnagar, concluded its first phase here on Sunday after covering 43 mandals in 14 assembly constituencies. People brought various problems including drinking water, power shortage and others to the notice of the minister during the Bus Yatra.A When the Bus Yatra reached Kollapur, Telangana activists attempted to stop the convoy demanding the resignation of the minister and join Telangana agitation. Minister Aruna made it clear that it was not a political yatra but only an attempt to know the people's problems. A She told the media that she would take the problems to the notice of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and strive to solve them. She said that some farmers had started cultivation later under Jurala project and she would discuss with the officials to release water for irrigation. She said that the chief minister would be visiting Jadcharla in the district on Monday to inaugurate Ryot Chaitanya Sadassu.
