Ali was felicitated in Rajahmundry of East Godavari district on getting honorary Doctorate from the Academy of Universal Global Peace, Coimbatore, recently.

Addressing the media, Ali said he was happy on receiving a Doctorate for rendering humanitarian services from an organisation affiliated to the United Nations. He thanked everyone who had supported him during his hardships. About his new projects, he said he was acting in a film 'Alibaba Okkade Donga' as hero and he was also acting in Pawan Kalyan's upcoming flick.

He said 'Seethakoka Chiluka' and 'Yamaleela' were the best films in his career. He said he wanted to act as a villain in movies in other languages. Noted actor and lyricist Thanikella Bharani termed Ali a 'complete man'. He reminded that Ali was an actor senior than himself and Brahmanandam.
