Babu a liar: Sharmila

YSR Congress leader Sharmila on Wednesday came down heavily on the Telugu Desam supremo and Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu while starting her Samaikya Sankharavam Bus Yatra from Kadiri, Anantapur district, on Wednesday. She reminded the people that Naidu promised in his election manifesto during the 2009 elections to take forward the process of formation of separate Telangana if he was voted to power.

Terming the statements of Chandrababu as “a pack of lies”, she said that Naidu, instead of taking back his letter expressing support for bifurcation of the State, was encouraging his MPs and MLAs to play dramas. “He embarked on his Bus Yatra to perpetuate his lies and throw the blame on YSR,” she alleged. While students and government employees were fighting for Samaikyandhra staking their lives and careers, the TDP and Congress leaders were indulging in dinner politics, Sharmila said.

Sharmila said Kiran Kumar Reddy and Botcha Satyanarayana were clinging to their posts even after failing to do justice to the people. “Had the TDP and Congress MLAs and MPs resigned their posts along with YSR Congress legislators, we would not have faced the present position,” she remarked. The YSR CP leader charged the Congress with dividing the State for the sake of a few seats. She lamented that welfare schemes such as Arogyasri, 108, 104 and fee re-imbursement had been neglected by the present rulers.
