Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is contemplating to insist on the need for a huge financial package for Telangana in view of the injustice meted out to the region in the last five decades.
The party president K Chandrasekhar Rao would make a strong plea for the package when he meets the GoM during second week of November. The date of his New Delhi visit would be decided only after receiving letter from the Centre, party sources said.
When asked about party’s agenda for the meeting, a TRS leader said that KCR would highlight party’s stand on various terms of reference included in the Cabinet Note. He would explain how Telangana region was “plundered” and ill-treated in terms of employment, river water and funds since 1956. However, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was yet to make up its mind on whether or not to attend the all-party meeting.
