Giddalur (Prakasam dist): A country-made bomb found in a plastic cover on Thursday in the woods by a ninth class student of ZP High School, Chouhali, in Bestavaripalli, in this Assembly constituency, caused a sensation.
He had gone to the spot looking for his ball and brought the bomb to show to his friends. The student threw it away after being told that it was a ‘Kadapa bomb’. He ran away in panic and informed a teacher.
The teacher and in-charge headmaster M S Sarma, who saw the bomb, lodged a police complaint. Bestavaripalli police seized it and took up investigation to know the source.
