Narayana slams YSRCP, TDP

Hyderabad: Critical of the behavior of the ‘bourgeois’ political parties and their tactics, CPI felt that the bandh call given by YSR Congress and Telugu Desam reflected nothing but their ‘self-deceit’.

Speaking to media persons, CPI state secretary K Narayana reiterated that ‘narco analysis’ test should be done on the political parties claiming to be working for the benefit of people. He described the attitude of political parties after the July 30 announcement, including the Congress, TDP and YSRCP, as ‘opportunistic’. “These parties are playing drama,” he said.

Expressing satisfaction that almost all the aspects put forward to GoM by the party were covered, the CPI has asked the government to complete Telangana process at the earliest. He also appealed to all to cooperate in the process of division of the State. He demanded that the government ensure that the problem of water and other important issues were resolved without any further delay. He pointed out that the law and order in the city was one of the important factors for which a ‘separate mechanism’ should be taken up till there is a common capital.

To a query, he lamented that due to agitations and counter agitations, real public problems were neglected by the ruling class. “This came as a blessing in disguise to the Congress party,” he pointed out. On the issue of capital for Seemandhra, he said it would be decided by the committee concerned.
