Hyderabad: Six Congress MPs, Lagadapati Rajagopal, Vundavalli Arun Kumar, Sabbam Hari, G V Harsha Kumar, A Sai Pratap and Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, will launch a ‘Sankalpa Deeksha’ at Indira Park here on Friday.
Speaking to the media, Rajagopal said that the Deeksha was aimed at mounting pressure on the Seemandhra MLAs and MLCs to move a resolution, demanding that the centre not divide the state. He said that the fast would continue till the Assembly adjourns on Saturday.
To a query, he said police had given permission to hold the two-day Deeksha. He claimed that even TDP Seemandhra legislators expressed their solidarity with them. He exuded confidence that the Draft T Bill would not come before Parliament.
