Hyderabad: The Telangana ‘Navanirmana Padayatra’ taken up by Karthik Reddy, son of former Home Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy, entered The second day on Thursday. Reddy aspires to contest the Lok Sabha seat from the Chevella constituency. He is receiving overwhelming response from the people, according to Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy.
Reddy will cover about 100 km during the ‘yatra’. Reddy started the ‘yatra’ from Aremaisamma Chowrasta in Rajendranagar withfanfare on Wednesday. He told the media that the ‘yatra’ was dedicated to the people of Telangana, who achieved Statehood for the region after 60 years of struggle. He credited this to AICC chief Sonia Gandhi. The ‘yatra’ will conclude on 12 at Tandur.
