Accompanied by Seemandhra leaders, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has been meeting eminent national party leaders to garner their support for opposing the Telangana bill that is expected to be introduced in the ensuing Parliament session. He has been demanding the Centre for "equal justice" to both the regions or keep the state united. But the word 'equal justice' has irked Telangana TDP leaders. They feel that Chandrababu is trying to stall the Telangana process in the name of equal justice.
They are also of the view that it is because of Chandrababu's pressure that BJP which had been backing the formation of Telangana is now taking a U-turn.
First in the row, Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao expressed disappointment over Chandrababu demanding that the Telangana Bill be sent back to the Centre.
In his interview to a news channel, Errabelli said that public are beginning to hate the behavior of Seemandhra TDP MPs. There is nothing wrong seeking justice for their regions, but it would hurt the sentiments of the Telangana people if they stalled the process of Telangana formation. "We had requested Chandrababu Naidu not to stop the passing of Telangana Bill and also to control Seemandhra people. But now, it appears as if Seemandhra leaders are in take and taken control over Chandrababu," he added.
He requested Chandrababu Naidu not to stop Telangana in the name of equal justice. "My confidence of Telangana state becoming a reality got a boost after I met President and other opposition leaders," claimed Errabelli.
When asked if BJP had change its stand on the contentious issue due to the pressure from Chandrababu, Erraballi replied that the Telangana TDP leaders were upset over Chandrababu's firm demand to divide the state only after equal justice to both the regions.
Errabelli, however, hoped that Chandrababu will stay true to the party's stand of favouring Telangana.
The talk in the political circles is that Chandrababu will face the wrath of Telangana TDP leaders if BJP takes a U-turn and oppose Telangana Bill in the Parliament.
