Jairam said it was only due to the pending approval from the Central Water Board, Pranahita Chevella was not given a national status during the process of the state bifurcation. He said shortly the matter will be worked out. Further, he said Congress party has done justice to either region during the course of state bifurcation.
Jairam praised the Telangana Congress leaders for not crossing the boundary line set by the party high command during the entire Telangana agitation period. He said BJP has strived their best to impose hurdles in Rajya Sabha after the bill was passed in Lok Sabha. He said even Chiranjeevi had constantly beseeched to make Hyderabad, a union territory.
Later, the Union Minister Jairam Ramesh has declared that a Dalit will only be made the Chief Minister of Telangana, if they attain the power in looming general elections. He addressed the media in Karimnagar on Monday.
Jairam said Sonia Gandhi was not Telangana Maata but the Telangana draftswoman. He said the Congress Party will consider the candidature of TJAC leaders, if they opt to contest the polls on Congress Party ticket. He said even Telangana state will have tax exemptions for industries.
