Rajampet: Early on Saturday, at the residence of Kasireddy Madanmohan Reddy, a former MLA, fire mishap took place. In this accident, Potireddy (65) and his wife Lakshmamma (60) lost their lives. The duo has been working in his residence for past 15 years. The duo hail from Chittinavaripalem, a place near Bapatla in Guntur district.

At about 4 a.m. on Saturday suddenly the wall of kitchen collapsed with a huge sound and fall on the couple who were sleeping in an adjacent room. The couple died on the spot. The spot of incident was examined by GV Ramana, the DSP of police and CI Venkateswarlu. The dead bodies have been sent for autopsy to government hospital.
