Necessity is the mother of invention...so goes a famous dictum. Such a necessity has not only been felt by trend setters of technical world, but also by the politicians. As the Election Commission is coming up with new rules to curb the flow of money and baits in elections, politicians are coming up with pioneering methods to persuade voters in the alarming elections. Distribution of money, liquor, sarees et al has become old trended. Distribution of coupons has become the latest way to woo voters.

CPM secretary Ch Babu Rao of Vijayawada said that during municipal elections a contestant of a major political party distributed coupons for chicken and mutton in Krishnalanka area.

As officials are keeping a vigilante eye on money giving out, contestants are coming up with innovative methods to entice the voters. Distributing of coupons is one such ploy. So many such innovations are yet to be revealed.
