Nellore: Announcing his retirement from electoral politics, Congress senior leader and eccentric politician Anam Vivekananda Reddy said he would no more be contesting elections. Anam, however, made it clear that it is not a complete retirement from politics, but only a decision not to contest elections. Breaking his stillness on the issue, the Nellore Rural MLA said he will, however, continue to be in politics.

He addressed the media and said his decision not to contest elections was taken in view of his health condition. Vivekananda Reddy reminded of the matter that a few years ago, he had announced that he would not contest elections after 60 years of age.
Vivekananda Reddy keeping away from elections means an end to a droll manner of campaigning in Nellore, which attracts the voters as well as the media.
