Polls conducted in point of fact: Ramakanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner P Ramakanth Reddy on Wednesday said that the local body elections were conducted successfully in the state. He addressed the media on Wednesday, a day after the declaration of the ZPTC/MPTC Results, and thanked all those who made the entire process a success.

He said that as many as 20 thousand ballot boxes were procured from Karnataka, apart from procuring 7 thousand ballot boxes from Tamilnadu and 8 thousand boxes from Odisha. He thanked all these states for extending their invaluable support. He said the counting for the ballot papers which have become wet in West Godavari and Nellore districts was finished and also the declaration of the results was timely out.
