Rentachintala records 46 degrees C

Hyderabad: Rentachintala recorded the season’s highest maximum temperature of 46 degrees C even as the heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Guntur district on Friday. The maximum temperatures appreciably rose at one or two places in coastal Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema. Nellore, Bapatla, Kavali and Ongole recorded the highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees C. While Nandigama, Vijayawada, Nalgonda, Nandyal, Tirupati had a high of 42 degrees, Adilabad, Hanamkonda, Mahabubnagar, Ramagundam, Anantapur, Kurnool recorded 41 degrees C.

The Met office on Saturday forecast heat wave conditions in some parts of Guntur district. Rain or thunder showers will occur at isolated places in coastal Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema during the next two days. In Hyderabad, the sky will be partly cloudy. Rain or thundershowers will occur in parts of the city in the next 48 hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 39 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
