The entire route from Hyderabad to Gandipet turned yellow with party flags and festoons.
Around 15,000 delegates from Telangana and Seemandhra took part in the celebrations. There was festival like atmosphere at the venue with traditional drum beats and blaring music system playing the songs on the party founder, NT Rama Rao’s contribution to the State as a Chief Minister and the party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s services.
The TDP chief’s son Lokesh was not only the centre of attraction inside the venue but also prominently figured in the photos in all most all the billboards this time.

Naidu to bring reforms to curb corruption
- Resolution on ‘Corruption-free India – Reforms’ adopted
- Naidu stresses on electoral, economic and judicial reforms
- Wants Modi-government to bring back black money
- Short and long term action plans for Seemandhra’s development
- Suggests Centre to give priority to five important issues
Hyderabad: TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday asserted the need to bring in reforms to curb the unbridled corruption that not only brought the country to a grinding halt in the areas of development and welfare but also dented the country’ reputation during the last 10 years of Congress rule.
Adopting a resolution on ‘Corruption-free India – Reforms’, the Naidu said that the Congress-led UPA was riddled with corruption in all the sectors.
Over Rs one lakh crore was misused and the amount had gone into the personal accounts of the corrupt politicians, he added.
Coming down heavily on the former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy and his son and YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy, he alleged that the mines and other natural resources were exploited for their economic benefits resulting in loss of thousands of crores of rupees revenue to the State exchequer.
“The TDP government will root out corruption in the next five years. The electoral, economic and judicial reforms are the need of the hour to develop the country,” Naidu stated.
He wanted the BJP-led NDA to bring back the black money stashed in foreign banks and use it for the welfare of the poor.
Stating that his government would prepare short and long term action plans for the holistic development of the Seemandhra, Naidu said the creation of corruption and poverty free society was not possible unless the reforms were enforced.
Naidu suggested the Centre to give priority to five important issues -- food and agriculture, production and training, control of fiscal deficit, strengthening of economy and sustainable growth -- in the next five years.
Srikakulam MP-elect K Rammohan Naidu said that under the leadership of Naidu and Modi, the economy would be streamlined by adopting good governance and transparency.
